Tech Tips

ACCPAC Plus This "good old" software is officially discontinued as of September 30th, 2006. That means there will be no updates of any kind, and no official support from Sage Software.

Users who are running ACCPAC Plus Payroll must change to some other software by the end of the year. Since this is not a simple task, we urge you to look at your options well ahead of time. These could include PayDirt Payroll.

ACCPAC Plus Accounts Payable is not able to produce cheques in the new format that will be required by Canadian banks January 1, 2007, so here too, a new solution is required. This is easier to implement: Adagio Payables.

Business Computer Centre will do its best to support ACCPAC Plus users, but relying on this 1980's-era software to run a modern business is a little like keeping your 1975 K-car. You may be able to keep it running, but the reliability will be low, the costs will increase each year, and when it finally fails, you will have a emergency situation to deal with, usually at the worse possible moment.

However, in the interim, here is some information that may be of help.
