
With your permission, Business Computer Centre is able to, connect to your computer with special technology that allows both the BCC support rep and you to run software, see what is happening and solve problems.
The technology, known as LogMeIn Rescue, requires that you initiate the connection. It leaves no software on your system that would allow intruders to "hack in" without your knowledge.
It is secure; all data flowing back and forth is encrypted.

You are in control: your mouse and keyboard override the remote ones at all times.
Due to the unique nature of the system, it usually has no trouble with firewalls, either software or hardware.
Files can be transferred between the computers.
It works best with a broadband (high-speed) internet connection but can usually work over dial-up connections as well.
This type of support is billed at a premium rate. However, because it is billed by the minute, with no minimum charge, it often costs less than an on-site visit. Of course, this is particularly true for clients outside of Prince George.
